Welcome to The Corris Café and Deli, a charming retreat nestled within the Corris Craft Centre in Machynlleth, United Kingdom. This delightful café is not just a place to grab a bite; it’s a culinary experience where the rich flavors of Wales meet a warm, inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a local or a traveler exploring the beautiful countryside, The Corris Café offers a perfect spot to unwind and indulge in some exceptional dishes.

The menu boasts an array of delicious offerings that highlight traditional Welsh cuisine, making it a must-visit for food lovers. One standout option is the Corris Rarebit, crafted with a secret recipe that combines Welsh Dragon cheddar with local ale, served on wholesome organic bread. The richness of the cheese perfectly complements the subtle sweetness of caramelized onion chutney, creating a dish that’s both comforting and flavorful. For those seeking a heartier option, the Warming Winter Menu features freshly made homemade soup, a delightful way to warm the soul during chilly days.

If you’re looking for a truly indulgent experience, don’t miss the Afternoon Tea for 2. Encapsulating the essence of comfort, this delightful spread includes a selection of sandwiches—like Welsh ham and salad, and egg mayo—along with scrumptious homemade treats such as mini scones with Welsh clotted cream, cakes, and homemade flapjack bites. This is perfect for catching up with friends or relishing a sweet moment of solitude.

The atmosphere is another highlight at The Corris Café. Customers rave about the friendly staff and the cozy, welcoming environment that makes you feel right at home. With breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, it serves as an ideal backdrop to enjoy your meal. The café is also pet-friendly, with treats available for your furry companions, ensuring no family member is left behind. Reviewers like Wendy Dando appreciate the close proximity to charming arts and crafts shops, making it a delightful stopping point on your exploring journey.

The café prides itself on catering to various dietary needs, accommodating gluten-free options, and ensuring everyone can enjoy their culinary delights. Susy Watson noted how knowledgeable and helpful the staff are regarding allergies, which speaks volumes about their commitment to customer satisfaction.

Friendly staff, dogs welcome and treats available for them. Most of the menu can be adapted to gluten free and staff were clued up on cross contamination. Separate frier for chips and toast prepared on the grill. They had 3 options of gf cakes and the coffee was really good.

This is one of the few places you can actually track down Welsh dishes. Good lamb cowl and also rarebit.

This was a lovely experience. The staff were attentive and kind, and the place was warm and cosy. There are great views of the mountains from this cafe, and the food is great too. I especially liked the cake. I’d definitely come back here.

Delicious rarebit and lamb cawl. The cafe was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. We were early for the lunch menu but the staff were really nice to whip up the order and we made it in time for our labyrinth tour at noon.

Lovely little place. Plenty of parking. The coffee and cake is lovely. The staff very friendly. Close to cute little arts and crafts shops. Along with a lovely shop for doggie things. I have visited previously but in winter as only the coffee shop was open. Thank you for that time as well.

A nice welcome as you walk into the craft centre Perfect time for a nice coffee before the craft shops call. Prompt service and friendly staff awaits you. The cheesy chips is especially nice with the dragon cheddar. Tomatoe soup was good too. Background music was not too loud and everyone seemed really happy. I'd go here again if I was passing by.
